Breville the Luxe Brewer — drip coffee brewer, glass carafe

Filter coffee, with the pour controlled rather than dumped

The difference between a good drip brewer and a cheap one is how water reaches the grounds. The Luxe Brewer is built around controlling that, in a brushed stainless body that is meant to stay on the counter rather than be hidden.

How it works

Water is delivered over the coffee bed rather than dropped in one place, so the grounds extract evenly instead of channelling. This is the glass carafe version — you can see the level, and it sits on a warming plate.

Who it suits

A good fit if you brew a pot at a time, you want the machine to look like it belongs on the counter, and even extraction matters more to you than a long feature list.

Consider another machine if you want espresso, or a machine with a grinder built in.
