De'Longhi La Specialista Maestro — espresso machine with built-in grinder and cold brew

A grinder, Smart Tamping Station and espresso machine in one footprint

The La Specialista Maestro combines an integrated grinder, portafilter holder and Smart Tamping Station in one machine. Tamping is assisted but not hands-free: after grinding into the portafilter, you pull the side lever to apply a consistent tamp inside the station.

How it works

The built-in grinder offers eight settings and doses directly into the portafilter. With the portafilter held in the Smart Tamping Station, the user pulls the side lever to tamp the coffee with consistent pressure and less mess. Dynamic pre-infusion wets the puck before full-pressure extraction. Eight drink selections are available from the control panel, including cold brew.

Who it suits

A good fit if you want espresso and milk drinks without purchasing a separate grinder, prefer consistent lever-assisted tamping and want cold brew among the preset drink options.

Consider another machine if you already own a capable grinder, prefer to tamp manually outside the machine or want a fully automatic bean-to-cup workflow.
